Abstract
Diagnostics of health-promoting leadership, e.g. in the context of employee surveys for organizational diagnostics, for team diagnostics and also for the diagnosis of individual managers in the context of occupational health management.
Description
HoL enables the differentiated recording of various aspects of health-promoting leadership. Previous research has shown that managers can reduce health risks and promote resources not only directly through their direct behavior, but also indirectly by influencing working conditions. In addition, they influence the health behavior of employees through their role model behavior and the way they deal with their own health.

Three components are distinguished in the assessment of health-promoting leadership with HoL: The value component refers to the importance attached to the topic of health. The awareness component measures conscious attention to health problems and risks. The behavior component is aimed at concrete measures and behaviors that reduce health risks at the workplace and promote resources.

As a special feature of this procedure, health-promoting leadership is not only recorded in relation to the work situation and interaction with employees (StaffCare), but also with regard to how managers and employees deal with their own health (SelfCare). Employees can also assess how their managers deal with their own health (SelfCareFK). The areas of StaffCare and SelfCare from the perspective of managers can be compared with the StaffCare and SelfCare assessed by employees. This systematic feedback process helps to identify concrete starting points for reducing occupational health risks and to initiate appropriate measures.
