Abstract
BASIS-MATH-G 6+ is a procedure for the clarification of dyscalculia and the evaluation of the need for support measures for students with dyscalculia from the end of the 6th grade to the beginning of the 7th grade. The test examines central competencies of elementary school mathematics in grades 3 to 6.
Description
The group test for basic diagnostics in mathematics for the fourth quarter of grade 6 and for the first quarter of grade 7 (BASIS-MATH-G 6+) is based on the empirically proven finding that students with arithmetic weaknesses have not or insufficiently understood specific content of elementary school mathematics and are therefore impaired in their further learning processes. The test can be used to check, on the basis of 56 tasks, whether students in the classes have mastered these "bottlenecks" in mathematical knowledge acquisition (dyscalculia), or whether specific support measures need to be taken to address missing or incomplete bases of understanding.
