Abstract
The D-KEFS is used to examine higher cognitive functions in children and adults aged 8;0 to 89;0 years. The procedure is used by psychologists, psychiatrists, psychotherapists, neuropsychologists and special educators.
Description
The German version of the D-KEFS consists of five individually administered tests that measure a wide range of different executive functions. Each test is designed as a stand-alone instrument that can be administered individually or together with other D-KEFS tests. Different performance- and process-oriented outcome scores can be derived from each test, mapping different basic or higher cognitive abilities. This allows a differentiated assessment of the cognitive mechanisms underlying a particular symptomatology.
