Abstract
Use the SAPS to screen for aphasia. Record aphasic disturbance patterns in order to optimally plan the treatment of patients with post-acute and chronic aphasia. The processing of sound, word and sentence structures in receptive and expressive modality can be examined in a model-based and standardized way. Use the SAPS now for diagnostics, therapy planning and follow-up examinations in aphasia!
Description
The SAPS assesses (graded by difficulty) the three language processing levels of phonetic, word, and sentence structures in receptive and expressive modality. The SAPS assesses the language system with respect to the three language domains phonology/phonetics, lexicon/semantics and syntax/morphology in order to be able to direct the language treatment of aphasic persons to the pattern of impaired and preserved performance. Diagnostics, therapy planning, and progress monitoring with the SAPS are designed to be simple, obvious at a glance, and well coordinated.
