Abstract
With the publication of the FEESS 5-6, a questionnaire is now available together with the elementary school variants FEESS 1-2 and FEESS 3-4, with which the emotional and social school experiences of students from the first to the sixth grade can be recorded. The dimensions recorded correspond to general objectives of the curricula of the primary and secondary schools of the German states. The questionnaire can be used for individual diagnosis and for evaluation of whole classes and schools in the second half of the 5th and 6th grades and in corresponding grades of special education. 
Description
The FEESS 5-6 is a questionnaire adapted for 5th and 6th grades based on the elementary school versions FEESS 1-2 (Rauer & Schuck, 2004) and FEESS 3-4 (Rauer & Schuck, 2003). The dimensions covered correspond to general objectives of the curricula of elementary and secondary schools in the German states.

The procedure consists of two partial questionnaires with a total of seven scales. The first sub-questionnaire (SIKS) measures the students' attributions of competence (self-concept of school ability), their experienced own social integration in the class (social integration), and the perceived social relationships in the class (class climate). With the second sub-questionnaire (SALGA), various aspects of the school and learning climate are surveyed: Well-being at school (school attitude), perception of feelings while learning (joy of learning), willingness to embrace new and strenuous things at school (willingness to make an effort), and perception of teachers (feeling of being accepted). The scales differentiate primarily in the lower measurement range, making them particularly suitable for determining the need for support.
