Abstract
The Intelligence and Development Scales - 2 (IDS-2) are a complete revision and conceptual extension of the IDS. They make it possible in a unique way to assess and understand a child or adolescent in terms of intelligence and development in its entirety. The modular structure of the attractive test material allows the test to be efficiently adapted to the individual problem at hand. The intelligence and development procedure is suitable for use with children and adolescents from 5 to 20 years of age.
Description
The IDS-2 are modular in design and are capable of assessing both intelligence scores and competencies in five developmentally relevant functional areas in children and adolescents, depending on the individual problem.

The IDS-2 covers the functional areas of intelligence, executive functions, psychomotor skills, social-emotional skills, school skills and work attitude. In addition, the test administrator can assess the subject's cooperation during the test situation. The focus is on the dynamics of developmental area-specific strengths and weaknesses of the children and adolescents. These can be related to the age group (interindividual evaluation) as well as to the individual development profile (intraindividual evaluation).
